Born in Bulawayo (now) Zimbabwe, Colin moved to South Africa to attend Wits University where he obtained a Masters degree in Economics.
After settling in Johannesburg with his wife, he worked in banking and finance, lectured at a local business school and published a book on investing (Aspire!, 2002). But it was a life-long love affair with history and exploring historical locations that spurred him to write, ‘Those Who Favour Fire’, the first book in a trilogy based in Africa and Arabia.
From deserts to jungles, aviation to ancient cities and cultures, navies to armies, espionage and combat, Colin’s interests are as varied as the stories he writes.
Widely travelled and an occasional game guide, Colin enjoys nothing more than roaming through the African bushveld.
